Here is a list of our most frequently asked questions. If you don’t find the information you’re looking for, feel free to get in contact.
The level is too hard?
If you find a level too hard or almost impossible, here are a few things to have in mind:
- Use the breaks – if you always go full throttle some levels will be impossible, sometimes you need to slow down or not immediately accelerate to maximum speed.
- There are many ways to clear an obstacle – for example a ramp can be skipped completely by jumping over it, it can be rolled over without jumping, and you can jump anywhere on the ramp to gain different heights. Try to figure out what options you have, sometimes it's not too obvious.
- Change your configuration – try a different ball or adjust your part modifiers to make the levels easier. Some configurations actually makes some levels impossible, maybe you jump too high or too low, maybe you accelerate too fast. Here are the configurations the levels are designed with (and therefor possible to complete with):
- Chapter: Sunset Mountains – Ball: Scout, Part modifiers: all on 0
- Chapter: Midnight City – Ball: Ranger, Part modifiers: all on 0
- Chapter: Lunar Eclipse – Ball: Brute, Part modifiers: all on 0
- Chapter: Enchanted forest – Ball: Thug, Part modifiers: all on 0
- Chapter: Pirate Bay – Ball: Ace, Part modifiers: all on 0
- Note that all levels are possible without spending any in-game currency (see the list above)
How does parts work?
There are three types of parts:
- Traction – increases acceleration by 1 % / part
- Aerodynamics – increases maximum speed by 1 % / part
- Elasticity – increases jump height by 1 % / part
You can obtain parts in the Shop, either buy them directly in the Parts submenu or as a reward from any of the spins in the Offers submenu. By finishing among the top 3 in the Ladder you will gain a random part. When obtaining a part you increase your maximum part modifier. You can adjust your current part modifier between 0 and the number of parts you have obtained at any time in the Garage.
What are tweaks?
In the chapter Lunar Eclipse the first tweaks are introduced, and later more and more tweaks are added. There are 5 different tweaks in total:
- Gravity boost tweak - increases gravity for 2 seconds (introduced in: Lunar Eclipse)
- Gravity sink tweak - decreases gravity for 2 seconds (introduced in: Lunar Eclipse)
- Indestructible tweak - makes the ball indestructible for 2 seconds (introduced in: Enchanted Forest)
- Shrink tweak - reduces ball size for 2 seconds, then grows back to normal during 0.5 seconds (introduced in: Pirate Bay)
- Grow tweak - increases ball size for 2 seconds, then shrinks back to normal during 0.5 seconds (introduced in: Pirate Bay)
How do I get crystals?
There are several ways to get crystals:
- Complete levels - The first and easiest way is by completing new levels, later levels yields more crystals. The last levels in the chapter gives an extra bonus. Just by playing through the game you will gain a fair amount of crystals.
- Set new time records - Beating the world record gives you crystals every time.
- Participate in the ladder - By completing all levels in a ladder you are guaranteed to win crystals. The better placement the more crystals you get. Beating the current ladder record for a level also rewards you with crystals.
- Try your luck - If you buy one of the spins in the shop there's a chance to win crystals.
- Pay with money - In the shop there are several offers to buy crystals with real money.
What is the Ladder?
The ladder is a weekly competition for the best total time through six different levels. You have a week to fine tune your best times. You have unlimited tries until the time is up. When the ladder ends you are well rewarded. Everyone who has finished all levels gets a reward and the better placement the better reward. The ladder is unlocked after completing the chapter Pirate Bay.
How does ball and part modifiers stack?
The modifiers are added together. An example: If your ball has a +10 % max speed modifier and your Aerodynamics part modifier is set at +5 %, you will have a total of +15 % max speed. If the base max speed is 50 m/s, your new max speed is now 1.15 * 50 = 57.5 m/s.
What does indestructible mean?
A ball that is indestructible is not affected by sawblades or spikes but you can still fall into holes. When you are indestructible you can't grab any of the tweaks like gravity tweaks or size tweaks, but you will still get boosted on boosts on the ground. There are also tweaks that makes you indestructible (introduced in chapter Enchanted Forest) but only for a short period of time, those have the same effect.
